Re: RE:Big no epic brew day
Ellis thanks for the props, awesome IPA for tasting
Howie in the end your brother will appreciate all you guys have done to help him wether he sees it now or not
Thanks to everyone that came out.
Gordon's any venison?
Too bad we only had one new guy come out BUT it looks likes he wants in on the club so that's no bad
See everyone in Dec
Now by my watch we should be ramping up the barrel project
I'll start a new thread with the group buy and list some basic pricing based on us doing the buy
I'll talk with brewtopia and see what they have to offer

Re: RE:Big no epic brew day
We didn't pick an exact recipe I think we left it as everyone would do an imperial stout recipe of their choice of which there are a couple on this forum. We will be choosing the one AJ listed on this forum. If we all brew at least the same style it shouldn't matter when it all goes together.
As for when should we brew it I think it has to be done fermenting by jan 1
Now that brings up the question do we all bring money to the next meeting for the barrel?
Who is in?

Re: RE:Big no epic brew day
I'm so in, it's not even funny also I know we talked about it a little, but me and brew dude mentioned to each other that we could possibly brew Tony's share. I know he really wanted to be involved, and no one can argue that without mr.bazooka the monks probably wouldn't exist. He might have moved to Alabama, but he still belongs in our barrel! (Insert revolutionary bazooka quote here)
Re: RE:Big no epic brew day
As far as I know Tony is still a paid up member of the club so he is entitled to anything the club does regardless of where he lives, and I second everything else in your post!
On a side note, I thought my yeast pooped out on the stout I brewed Saturday as all airlock activity stopped MOnday night, I got some more yeast and prepped it to pitch again but when I checked the FG it was 1.022 which is where I was expecting it to finish. This is the first time I have used the danstar and must say DAYAM! That went quick! I swirled and raised temp to see if I can get a few more points but sample tastes good and smells outta this world.

Yo Comrades! I'm still kickin around the forum.
What is the decision on the recipe?
When do you need the batches to add to the barrel?
How much $$ you need for the barrel?
I'll figure out a way to get 5 gals of elixer up to NH.
