Big Brew III
Gentlemen, let's start the ball rolling for ideas on BBIII. Looking at the dates, we will not have enough time to do a kolsch and get it finished for the club competition. It's unfortunate, but that leaves us open for pretty much anything. We only have a few months to come up with ideas, and I'm pretty much open for whatever. Thoughts?

Re: Big Brew III
I know it's a little soon to be thinking of this but if we brew in Sept. a nice winter/holiday beer would be nice AND ready in time for the holidays. I love dark spicey beers around christmas time. Just a thought. What do you guys think??

BBIII has been inked!
BBIII will be held on 11/3 at Darren's house. Our most ambitious big brew yet. We will do 4 batches/demos with education for the public!
Brew-in the bag demo
Extract brewing
All grain brewing
and the pièce de résistance a batch on the drool prducing all electric system.
Recipes have not been decided so let's hammer them out here. One thought I had was brewing for the upcoming comps. The May comp is extract only and January is un-session beers although Januay may be cutting it close...Thoughts?

Re: Big Brew III
For the unsession beer I know we'd be down to brew our Belgian strong golden. We've been wanting to brew it up for some time now, and it doesnt need to much time to mellow out like a barley wine or one of those.
Re: Big Brew III
Yea well brew either that or our imperial brown ale. Gotta see what the old man wants to do thougg
